Eddie Funkhouser Oil Free Creme Foundation and Perfecting Powder

*Product provided by company for honest review*

Hi guys! It's been a long time! What can I say? I've been lazy and apathetic. But I've never been know for my regular posting schedule anyway right?

Anyway, today I have a little story for you. Once upon a time there was a boy and a girl. They met each other while dancing at a community college in a small town in California. They ended up getting paired up for partnering a lot because they worked really well together (and she was much skinnier and easier to lift back in those days). They danced together for a few years; taking classes together, performing, traveling to a few college dance festivals... She was extremely shy and introverted and some people didn't understand people like that. But the boy did. He was so nice to her and understood that just because she was quiet didn't mean that she wasn't worth getting to know. They shared many a conversation backstage and during long rehearsals and he tried his best to help her break out of her shell. She appreciated that so much and never forgot him and how sweet he was. They lost touch after she moved away but she was always hearing bits and pieces about what he was doing. A friend would say the boy was on MTV doing makeup for someone, then she saw that he was working with Amway and had a makeup line, then she saw that he had a different makeup line and it was actually available to buy online and in some Rite Aids. Hoping that he wouldn't think she was getting in touch with him just because he was doing so well, she wrote to him on Facebook and a few weeks later received a reply and from that time on a friendship was reborn.

As you may have guessed; the girl is me and the boy is Eddie Funkhouser and I couldn't be happier for him. Success seriously couldn't have happened to a nicer person. And today I have the first of a few posts about some of the products from the Eddie Funkhouser line.

First up is the Oil Free Creme Foundation in Light. The website describes it as "a featherweight oil-free formula, designed to blend effortlessly into skin for a flawless satin finish that wears all day long".

I have been looking for ages for a cream foundation in a compact that would work for my skin and I may have finally found it. It comes with a round sponge for application but you could blend with your fingers or a beauty blender (which I plan on trying). It applies really well and makes my skin look smooth and semi-flawless. It's very good at toning down the redness in my cheeks that has developed in this damn cold weather. It is scented but not overly so.

The second product is the Ultra Definition Perfecting Powder in Gossamer. This is a "translucent powder...designed to cancel out redness, brighten complexion and even skin tone".

This also comes with a round sponge for application but I use a brush to apply it. I really love how it smooths everything out and gives a flawless finish.

I wore the combination of these two products all week and I have to say I really love them! My face is so oily that it gets through anything by noontime but I just use some blotting papers and I'm good to go. I love that these don't feel heavy on the skin or feel like they are clogging everything up.

So there you have it...Sorry about the crappy photos. I never take the best pictures to begin with but we have the room with my Ottlight bulb closed off from the rest of the house to conserve heat and it is freezing in there! So yellow lighting it is.

If you are interested in purchasing these or other products, you can do so here. The perfecting powder is $12.49 and the creme foundation is $14.49. You can also get Eddie Funkhouser products at select Rite Aid stores. He has some other awesome products which I will be writing about soon. I hope you all are staying warm wherever you are!

'Til We Meet Again...
