StarryEarth Treasures Untold

Hi guys! Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted anything. My laptop is struggling along on it's last legs for a few weeks now and this week it decided to slowly quit letting me stay on websites. First it was Facebook, then Blogger (quite helpful), then Evil Shades, then IMDB, and now it won't even load any pictures. It's very sad and I should start planning its funeral. Luckily hubby has a desktop that I can use but it's tough to share sometimes. I want my own computer! *crosses arms and stamps feet*

Anyway, today I have a polish that I got off of an Etsy store called StarryEarth. Elizabeth was kind enough to send me a mini bottle of my choice. I couldn't decide and left the choice up to her and the polish she chose for me was Treasures Untold.

It's a really pretty seafoam colored base with small red and lilac hex glitter and some small red square glitter. When reading the names of the colors involved they don't seem to be a good mix but it sure looks pretty in reality. It covered really well; it has a semi-jelly texture but it builds opacity quite nicely. I used three coats because the second still had some bald areas but I probably didn't let it dry enough between coats. I was too excited to get the sparklies onto my nails I guess. The glitter is very abundant throughout the polish and you definitely don't have to fish for it.

I love that you can see the full glitter from the top layer of polish but that the other layers look like a jelly sandwich. You can find this and some other very pretty polishes here at the StarryEarth Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/StarryEarth. I definitely plan on owning more of these in the future.

Hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend! I'm not much looking forward to another week of work but I'll mange somehow. :)

My First YouTube Video

Hello! So, I belong to a makeup group on Facebook. Every week there is a video tag challenge and this week the subject was music. I have never done a video of myself before and was kinda nervous but decided to get over my fear of it by doing it. I actually had fun and can see myself doing more in the future. Take a look and let me know what you think! Here's a little pic from it to get you excited to see it. Lol!

And here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5zBsGAw-cQ&feature=g-upl. Enjoy! And don't laugh too hard.

I'm Making Jewelry!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I have started making and selling jewelry. I've been seeing so much cute nail polish jewelry on Etsy and various websites but never knew where to even begin as far as obtaining supplies went. Then Rebecca from the Rebecca Likes Nails blog did a post about that very subject. I found some sites to order from and the rest, as they say, is history. As of now I'm just doing a few sizes of the glass cabochon earrings decorated with nail polish but I have a lot more up my sleeve that I'd like to try out. At some point I'd like to open a little shop on Etsy or Big Cartel but for the time being I have a Facebook page for it. It's called . . . .  wait for it . . . .  Bec's Baubles and it can be found here:   http://www.facebook.com/BecsBaubles. It includes everything you need to know as far as pricing, shipping, colors, etc... Here are some of the pieces I've done so far:

If you like what you see, head on over to the page and shoot me a message. I'll hook you up!

'Til we meet again.
