*I received this product in exchange for my honest review*
Hello again! I'm back with another fabulous product from Eddie Funkhouser. I am a total lip product junkie. I used to be all about the lipgloss but in the past year I've become just as addicted to lipstick; which unfortunately just opens up a whole other category of products to lust over. I was super excited when I got to try the Hyperreal Nourish Lip Color in the shade Quiet Riot.
Now of course, being that I am a child of the 80's, the name brought to mind over the top, cheesy hair bands with bad hair and even worse makeup. I'm not saying that is necessarily a bad thing; I do love me some cheesy 80's music. But this Quiet Riot is housed in the usual black packaging with white lettering. It's not too heavy but not so lightweight that it feels cheap; it's just right. The lipstick is described as "intense pigments, a boost of hydration, and a lightweight yet luxurious finish" and I would say that is pretty spot-on. It goes on the teensiest bit sheer but is very easy to build up so you have options on the finish that you want. It has good slip but isn't too slippery and feels really nice on the lips. It is a gorgeous raspberry color that almost borders on fuchsia but stops just short of that line. I used to be afraid of bold lip colors like this but now I can't get enough of them.
There is absolutely no sun out here today but these were taken in natural lighting. The shading in the face pic is a bit weird but that one shows the color of the lipstick the most accurately. I really love it and want to try more colors! And one thing I forgot to mention on my last post about these pretties is that Eddie Funkhouser is cruelty free! So no sweet little animals were harmed so I can feel pretty which makes me feel even better.
You can find Eddie Funkhouser products at select Rite Aid stores or here. The lipstick sells for $11.99 and in my opinion is an excellent deal.
